Peter is Innovation’s leading expert on employment taxes, with a particular focus on employee communication and delivery of savings to clients. He is the inspiration behind the Innovation mileage system.
Peter is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Chartered Tax Adviser and sits on the Technical Committee for employment taxes at the Chartered Institute of Taxation. After graduating from Oxford, Peter grew and led large teams of people in specialist consultancies at PwC, Andersens, Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young.
Peter has helped many companies including Kraft, DHL, Dell and Microsoft; advising in areas as diverse as expatriate tax, PAYE investigations, incentives and benefits, pension plans, US tax, social security, and the design of compensation packages and termination agreements.
Peter has written many articles on a variety employment tax issues published in Taxation and other leading journals over the last ten years and has successfully represented clients at Tax Tribunal.
After graduating from Oxford University John qualified as an ACA with Arthur Andersen. He has acted for many exciting clients such as Levi Strauss, Acorn Computers and the Gallagher Brothers. He then moved to industry where he has been Head of Tax at Bass, Kraft Foods and AT&T specialising in all aspects of Tax, Treasury, Insurance, Statutory Accounts, but with particular emphasis on Payroll Taxes, Pensions, VAT, Transfer Pricing and Group Reorganisations.
As well as writing regularly in Tax publications John has extensive experience of Tax Tribunals, sits on the ICAEW Employment Taxes and NIC technical committee, the CIOT Corporate Tax subcommittee and was regional Chairman of the Midlands ACT.
John’s strength is his ability to spot opportunities which many others would not. He was an instrumental pioneer in Innovation’s state of the art On-Line Mileage Capture system.
Kate has a wealth of experience in businesses where tight deadlines and attention to detail are paramount. As one of the original partners in Innovation Kate has rapidly risen through the ranks to become both Operations Director and also HR Director. Kate manages a team of c. 18 professionals whose role it is to look after our clients ensuring all deadlines are met as well as manage the team which looks after our mileage system and who conduct the reviews of business journeys.
Kate recently joined the executive where she plays a key role around service delivery as well as ensuring all work is effectively resourced.
